I always knew that I wanted to help people. For me, this looks like helping people to explore their lives through a therapeutic relationship.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as a Master of Social Work degree with a clinical focus. I have 5 years of professional experience working with individuals presenting with a variety of struggles including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, relationship troubles, and life stress.
I will work with you to determine a course of therapy that will fit your needs. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness to name a few. That being said, you as the client are in the driver’s seat. I may offer directions, but you are the one behind the wheel. You get to choose what works and what doesn’t work for you. You get to be the person making the change in your life. It is my privilege to witness your growth and facilitate your learning using what is in my toolbox.
When I’m not wearing my Social Worker hat, I am a full-time mom, nature enthusiast, hobby baker, and reader.
