From a young age, I gravitated towards the role of being the confidant and listener. My journey to finding my way to this career path was gradual and almost natural – I have always had a longing to help others. Beginning the healing process can be challenging but I would be honoured to be a part of the process. I strive to create a warm and safe environment through empathy, respect, and compassion. I come from a non-judgemental stance and acknowledge that you are the expert of your own experience.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Mount Allison University and completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) degree at Yorkville University. I am passionate about diversity and decreasing the barriers of accessing mental healthcare for marginalized groups.
I use an eclectic approach with my clients – trauma-focused approach, person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, somatic therapy, and compassion focused therapy to name a few. Collaboratively, we can develop a therapeutic plan that best suits your needs. I have experience with family systems, PTSD, depression, anxiety, stress management, spirituality, trauma, and issues with self-worth/esteem, and neurodivergence.
I invite you to take the reins and begin your journey to healing…
